There’s a big scary mistake a lot of companies make with their email marketing, but there’s an easy way to avoid this deadly blunder.
What am I talking about?
Emails that only push the sale.
I’m sure you’ve seen it before, but here’s the thing …
When you’re only trying to make a sale, you sound a lot like this …
“Hey you, buy my stuff right now!”
“Could you buy this thingy right now because you’ll save some money?”
“Hurry, please buy anything from me because, pretty, pretty, please, because I really, really need the sale!”
Don’t. Send. Emails. Like. That.
Not only is it pushy, and people hate that …
You also make your company sound needy, like some kind of beta male who’s too afraid to leave his mother’s basement because he thinks all the women in the “real world” will chew him up and spit him out.
What your emails should be doing is building a relationship with your reader and being entertaining, the A&E of the inbox, and there are a lot of ways to do it that don’t involve the “hey you, buy this now” approach.
So, do yourself a favour …
Go take a look at the emails you’ve been sending for the last couple of months to your list and see what kind of copy you’re blasting out.
Is it pushy?
Is it only about making the sale?
Are your emails boring?
As a busy entrepreneur, you’re probably not the one writing your emails.
If you’re too busy, you might not even have the time to look them over, but …
This is where you can’t afford to be left in the dark.
Your business – and your family – count on having rock-solid marketing, and not the kind of sales foundation that’s built on sand.
If you do take a look, and you don’t like what you see, don’t worry. Send me an email at [email protected].
Stay holy my friend, and God bless.
