There IS one x-factor that CAN crank up your inbox game all the way to 11 …
And that’s you.
I’m not talking about some new-age, hippie-dippy stuff here.
God blessed you with a mind and an ability to be creative, in incredible ways, that will set you apart from your competition, and all you have to do is figure out how to get the motor running, which means YOU taking the reins of your emails.
Yes, I know, it’s probably “easier” to pay someone else to do it, at least in the short term …
You own and operate the business, so there’s enough on your plate already, and I can appreciate that, but you’re forgetting something.
If you’ve been a success of any kind up to this point, it’s because of a passion and a drive that’s helped you to get this far.
I’m not forgetting to acknowledge God in this equation, by any means, because we’re nothing without Him and all the glory, ultimately, belongs to Our Heavenly Father, but …
There was a part you played in your success, too, right?
You took that initial spark of inspiration, that first seed of an idea, and you grew into something.
You took the drive God blessed you with, and the ability, and you put it into action, which puts you in a unique position.
Out of everyone in your entire enterprise, you’re the one who should know the most about why your business can help your ideal customer in a way that none of your competitors can …
Or at least you should be, right?
Out of everyone on the payroll who you’re responsible for, you should be the one who can sell your business the best, because otherwise …
You wouldn’t be the boss.
That’s the level of expertise and wisdom I’m talking about …
Mix it all in with a healthy dose of your unique personality and enthusiasm, the building blocks God gave you, and inject THAT secret sauce directly into your emails.
This is what’s going to set your email marketing miles ahead of all the other boring and bland offerings your customers are used to getting from “those other guys.”
“Hey, we have a sale today! Look at my sale and please buy from me! I need money! Give me your money, please!”
You know the schtick.
Some of it actually works, and there might be a good reason to roll it out every now and again, but it can come off as incredibly needy …
And we all know what happens to the needy beta-male types out there in the dating scene, right?
Women run away from them, as fast as they can, because these poor fellas reek of desperation … and maybe stale cheetos. (Personally, I like fresh cheetos.)
Customers are like that, too. They probably like fresh cheetos and they’re repelled by neediness, but the thing is …
There are so many companies out there who are satisfied with their average, run-of-the-mill email marketing campaigns …
Even if you just step it up a few notches, like the way I talk about in my daily newsletter, you’ll make a strong impression AND the people on your list will actually look forward to reading your stuff …
Imagine that!
So, don’t be like “those other guys.”
Don’t be afraid to put yourself into your copy.
