Ora et labora – Grow your faith and your sales

How Home Alone can change your email marketing in time for Christmas

+JMJ+

It’s your business and you have to sell it!

And these days, because of the Internet, part of the deal involves using emails – every day – to make moolah, especially at this time of year.

I know, I know, it’s still Advent …

But I’m sure you can see the premature signs of Christmas all around, especially with the annual onslaught of Christmas movies.

One of my all-time favourites is Home Alone, minus a few scenes here and there.

If you don’t know the basic plot to this “modern classic,” then you and I need to sit down and have a serious talk …

I can even add some extra time (for free) onto a marketing consultation just to make sure you’re up to speed with the negligent parenting of Mr. and Mrs. McCallister.

In case you didn’t know …

Home Alone is about this 8-year-old kid named Kevin.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. McCallister, are planning a huge family trip to Paris for Christmas (ooh, la, la!), but in the last-minute rush to catch their flight, as luck would have it, they forget their son. They’re what the French call “’Les Incompétents.” (C’est la vie?! Maybe not … but it’s a movie.)

Kevin wakes up when everyone is gone, and the prospect of being on his own scares him to death.

Eventually, he has overcome his fears, which is kind of like what happens to a lot of Catholic entrepreneurs when they’re faced with the challenge of sending daily emails to their list.

Just the thought of sitting in front of a blank screen is enough to have them running for their lives, faster than Kevin rushing out his basement when he thinks his furnace is trying to kill him. (Seriously, it’s one nasty looking furnace.)

But when a business owner finally pulls up their big-boy pants, they’ll realize that it’s up to them – and nobody else – to make sure their email marketing is up to snuff.

Daily content creation is easy, especially when you know the ins and outs of your product or service.

If you need help, you can always book a consultation by emailing me at [email protected]. There’s a 24%-off offer for any appointments booked before January 2024, but I’ll be dropping that offer soon.

That’s enough for now.

In the meantime, if any Wet Bandits show up before the 25th, they’ll be sorry.

Stay holy my friends and God bless.

P.S. As promised, another quote from Pope Gregory XVI! He put out this Encyclical Letter against Liberalism titled Mirari Vos on August 15, 1832.

“We must raise Our voice and attempt all things lest a wild boar from the woods should destroy the vineyard or wolves kill the flock. It is Our duty to lead the flock only to the food which is healthful. In these evil and dangerous times, the shepherds must never neglect their duty; they must never be so overcome by fear that they abandon the sheep. Let them never neglect the flock and become sluggish from idleness and apathy. Therefore, united in spirit, let us promote our common cause, or more truly the cause of God; let our vigilance be one and our effort united against the common enemies.”
