ABOUT US
Faith. Family. Finances.
Three simple words for bringing a better order to our lives, putting God above all things, then our families, and then, finally, our money.
Why is this important?
Let me explain …
When the sequence goes out of order, that’s when problems happen, like when we put the pursuit of money above all things. Our Blessed Lord and Saviour tells us this in the Holy Gospel of St. Mark:
“For what shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his soul?” - Mark 8:36
We also see this in the Gospel of St. Matthew, when Jesus makes it clear that we can’t serve both our Heavenly Father and money. (Matthew 6:24)
Both of these passages are important but difficult ones for all Catholics, especially for those of us who run our own companies.
But what can we do?
Should we pack it in, forget our businesses, and get jobs to support our families?
The short answer is no.
What this comes down to is perspective, and a big reason why The Marketing Trad was started in the first place.
The original concept was to take traditional direct response marketing techniques and help Catholic entrepreneurs grow their sales, without losing a traditional perspective on the Catholic Faith and the reality that money can never be our final end.
When Catholic business owners work to stabilize and increase their profits, the focus needs to be on how to use our blessings to serve the Lord, and that forms the second pillar of The Marketing Trad’s business philosophy, the one about growing in faith.
The idea is simple …
When we have better Catholic-run businesses, we can take care of the most basic needs at home, like putting good food on the table and a roof over the heads of the ones we love the most, and that’s where we develop stability in the family.
When we have stable Catholic families, who are learning about and living the faith, we have better communities, which leads to better cities, and a better country to live in.
It’s a trickle-up effect where, God-willing, we can restore the fundamental Catholic foundations that built up Western Civilization.
I think Catholic culture – its faith, its teachings, its traditions – is a cause worth fighting for and evangelizing about.
It’s also part of the mission that runs through The Marketing Trad, and I’d like to help you find it in yours.
Why is that important?
Well, whether you’re running an explicitly Catholic corporation or not, we have to ask ourselves:
How can I bring Jesus into my business?
Our labour isn’t just about dollars and cents, it’s about serving the Lord in everything we do …
From how we treat our employees and customers, to how we respond to the blessings God pours into our lives.
In the meantime, stay holy my friends.
God bless.
